Are you wanting new sandwash? (You are mad if you do)!

Plenty of options that are better.

Even non slip tiles would last longer and easier to clean as well.

Contact my colleague John at Siam Pools C/M for advice.

    Cheers

You said your "colleague" John, are you involved with this company  then?

  2. What options do you consider better?

I had tiles initially but they were rubbish and I replaced them with sandwash 15 years ago.

It's lasted till now ,which is why I want to renew it.

Bamboo decking us nice but 100,000 baht more expensive than sandwash.

Even a mixture of sandwash and decking can look good, the resort I am staying at in Koh Chang right now has it and it looks great.

So OP, did you try to contact the agent in stead of AA?

I managed to get hold of a REAL PERSON at Airpaz who sent me numerous emails mostly stating a credit note would be issued within 90 days, I said I wanted the money back and they agreed, probably just to get me off the phone

We will see what happens in 85 days now, but I'm not holding my breath after what I have read on here

  4. Hi Guys

Where in Chiang Mai do I get one?

They used to do them in a little shop next to immigration at Promenada

but immigration is long since gone from there now, so does anybody have any recent experience of obtaining one?

I have been to told on this forum in the past that I don't need one if I wish to rent a car in the UK  and have a valid Thai DL.

But whenever I go back they always ask to see the IDL.

    Anyway, help would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

Wanted a refund from Air Asia about ten years ago, IIRC 2000 baht.

Never got it, so I never flew with them again.

Pre Covid, I was flying back to Melbourne business class every six months. Airfare one way 16,000 - 20,000. I was also using them for the Bangkok-Chiang Mai leg when I came back.

I figure their decision to avoid making the refund lost them at least 150,000 baht in airfares that went to a competitor.

Cheat your customers, and it won't be long before you have none, no matter how many glitzy advertising campaigns you run.

That's why when I get to the UK ( flying Bangkok Airways from Chiang Mai and back) I will go to Loftus Road and present a letter to Tony Fernandes the owner if AA and QPR and tell him what a <deleted> company he is running and how these scams are costing him..no wonder he is losing Money!!

Have you tried the Airpaz app? I cancelled a flight and Airasia gave me a voucher through the AirAsia app but u will have to use the Airpaz app. According to the conditions that's all they provide. I can rebook up to 2 years after the cancellation. You can contact customer services through their app and I assume also through the Airpaz app.

    I can't get though to a human

Do you have a contact number where a real person will deal with it?

I just did the online claim form right at the start, March 2020.

Then they gave me a 1 year credit, then near the end of that year they extended the credit for another 2 years.

It's not really their fault the governments of the world put them out of business.

What email address did you use Brit?

Two years running...no refund...out almost 4000 baht just like you.  They play a shell game...processed everything correctly and said my claim was accepted...but never a baht back. They are broke...except for Tony and his wife who are fabulously rich....

I am going to write to him via his football club, that might get to him, but he needs to know the game his company is playing and how unlawful it is

did u pay by credit card?  if so just file a fraud case with cc company.  air asia has had to pay up many times due to this............u paid for a service via cc . u didnt get the service.  that is fraud.  cc companys take this seriously.................air asia is screwed...............but i want you do know if u dont ever need to speak to air asia, i fly them all the time with no issues.............

Well you certainly would have an issue if they cancelled your flight!!

But thatnks for the tip, I will contact my bank today, cheers

  10. Rats chewed through the wiring in my BMW engine while I was on holiday.

Cost to have all the wiring replaced, which had to be ordered from Germany was  60,000 baht

I sold the car shortly afterwards, I had both BMW's and Mercs in the UK but they are just too expensive for me to run here.   Which is a shame.

    No worries.

Rest assured that if/when reentry permits were ever put on hold it would be front page news.

I don't understand,  I know I read it yesterday as I went to locate a TM8 form in my office

But now I can't find where I read it ....anywhere...little early for an April fool joke, but makes me look like an idiot

Perhaps Ubon Joe will delete this thread until I find the source

    Sorry

No problem mate, however it may be that she considers staying on them to be beneficial for you, especially given your circumstances, however it would be good if you brought up the subject you mentioned earlier on about Celebrex and the Apolets, to see what she has to say.

Had a call from the hospital canceling my appointment  for a week   I think the doc is having to quarantine for 7 days.

I give it 90% chance for WS to be bulldozed within the next 10 years if not 5. And that be for better too, make it a nice pier with some more decent businesses and fill up the empty places between beach road and second road with the bars instead.

Do you know what the rent is in WS?

I know that a reasonable sized bar will be looking at paying 130,000 baht a month along with tea money every three years.

I don't believe they would destroy whats there now and loose that income.

Right now they are not getting any rent from closed bars, so once they open again the landlords will no doubt be at the door with their hands out.

If the Apolets you are taking are the low-dose aspirin for prevention of heart attack (blood thinning etc), then you might wish to look at the link below, and there are many others on the Internet regarding the low-dose aspirin and prevention of heart attacks, because they are not now recommended!

So you may wish to consult with your doctor with regards to the latest findings on this, if indeed he knows about it?

Thanks a lot for the info.

I am seeing the same nuerologist that put me on blood thinning meds 4 years ago after I had a mini stroke, so that's really good that I can speak to her on Monday about the article

Thank you so much for sharing this buddy.

No, it will just confuse things. Wait until you see the neurologist.

Besides the bleeding risk, there is a risk of heart problems when taking Celebrex especially in older people. Indeed, in some countries they will not prescribe to people  over 55-60 years.

It is quite possible that the relief of symptoms is unrelated to the Celebrex and not that it didn't work one day and did work another.  I suggest to stop that as well. It is quite dangerous to stop blood thinners on your own.

I didn't  know that Celebrex was that dangerous Sheryl as I buy them over the counter.

My wife who is still very ill after her spinal operation 2 years ago also takes 2x200mg of Celebrex daily, she is 56.

I took one at 7am, so I will not take one at 7pm today.

Does this neuropathy problem come and go Sheryl?

Is it anything to do with my blood sugar level which is at 159 this morning  first time it's been over 100 in a year, so I have to work on bringing it down.

It's down to Christmas excess I suppose.

    We've all been there
