You guys must all be very small and skinny if you can't pull a 500 straight when down on one knee to check the oil.
I did it this morning when I arrived at work and the oil is up to the upper line of the oil lens.
Not dripping or burning anything apparently.

Well, if your bike has a blue book, you are already riding illegal in Thailand.
Ask the guy you bought it from if he has a legal green book for you.

Nice Bike!!! Too bad it's overpriced in Thailand.
I know it's no comparison but I guess I'll buy a honda CB650F.
Just seems better priced.
Hopefully in the future we'll get more bikes for the actual price in Thailand.
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Overpriced? I think that 435,000 baht is a good price for this bike.
in thailand it is fair enough but dont check the prices in the west or it wont feel such a sweet deal lol
In the UK it goes for 6900 pounds, which at today's rate comes down too 372,000 baht.
So only 60,000 baht more for an imported - made in Japan - bike.
I've seen worse.

Got to love the build/engineering quality of these modern Hondas! More re-calls than a boomerang.
Only a small batch were affected by the recall.
My bike and also Superior's bike were not included in this recall, because there is nothing wrong with it.
Nonetheless,I had my bike checked, what else are you supposed to do on a Sunday afternoon, and it was all fine.
Remember that Superior crashed his bike when he just had it.
He says he only scratched the fairings, but of course he doesn't see what is f**ked up on the inside.
And recalls are quite normal in the automotive industry these days, it happens everywhere, no matter where it is build.

I went back last night.
The FZ-09 is gone already, shipped to Chiang Mai for a bikeshow there.
-
It is still going until the 9th of March.
Not too much to see there actually, but always nice for a stroll.
There is only Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki and Suzuki and some shops have a booth.
Yamaha is presenting the new MT09, which is called FZ09 in Thailand.
Very sweet bike. And at 435,000 baht, not too bad either.

My bike was not affected by the recall, but went in yesterday to have it checked anyway.
Free of charge. I have no complaints at all about BW Bangkok.
They have always been good to me.
i think i have seen you there bramds, i was there yesterday for 24 k service and to meet 'brfsa' in the meantime.
brfsa, nice to meet you man!
I agree, Honda Bigwing Bangkok is great, they are more like friends to me now. Great service, never any friction and whatever i want, always done by the motto: 'it is up to the customer' - most probably imported from Japan as the heads there and some mechs were trained in Japan.
Feel pity for Chiang Mai Bigwing customers. Guys have you ever tried to send some emails or letters to AP Honda and Bigwing Bangkok about this? Just try, it might work.
I wasn't sure it was you.
I was looking for an ugly red CBR500 but couldn't see it.

He just got a lemon, same like superior from Chiang Rai.
Bike made on a Monday or a Friday.
I am happy with my Wednesday bike :-)

new Z1000 engine?

They never check, only if they cant find any reason to take your money.
the other day I was stopped by surprise, they were hiding and show up out of nothing in front of me.. I did not have plate, I showed them my bike photocopy documents, still a no-no... handled a 100B note, then on my way....
The next 2 times I passed by in front of them, they tried to stop me, but since I already new where they are hiding, i just drove past by them (with a little of engine noise for fun)
They will ALWAYS find a way to get your money. always always....
You should work on your negotiating skills.

The tax sticker should be on the bike, but does not have to be displayed.
I have mine under the seat, never been asked to show it.

Motorbikes get produced in batches.
So only the batches mentioned are affected.
Check your MLHPC number, if it is not there, you are not affected.
Don't see these recalls for Europe or USA either.

no oil loss after 20K kms.

You get on it and twist the throttle

contact KTM in Austria and tell them their dealers are shit and offer poor service, should work too.
-
It is in Pathum Thani and yes, there you can find everything you might ever need to flash up your car or motorbike.
Although there is practically nothing for big bikes.
It is open until around 9 or 10 in the evening.
