  1. just did my 1000 KM check today (got my bike 10 days ago)

they said Valve Check only at 24,000 KM now. biggrin.png

btw. I saw a few CBF650 tri-color inside the shop getting ready for pick-up... I wonder who are they luck ones biggrin.png

Talked the other day to a friend of a friend who works at the honda factory, he told me they can make up to 200 CB650F per day, but only a few are for thai market... and they have over 1200 bookings for CB650 !!! holy sh1t.

I thought they would only be ready at the end of March.

Isn't there one forum member who will have the first in the world? coffee1.gif

yes, delivery will be at that time, end of March.

and does it bother you if i get one of the first bikes?

Doesn't bother me at all. Just the fact that brfsa2 writes they are getting ready for pick up already.

That's not end of March, it is still January.

  3. Well, the guys who actually made the bike, say it is a CB350. Need more proof?

  4. That's a sweeeeeet looking bike, I wish they were a bit bigger and i would buy one in an eye blink.

They sound fantastic too, i thought 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' was riding one,but that was a Honda CL350, great sound too, really makes the film.

    CB350

    • Scooters are not designed for the highway as been mentioned
    • It would be absolute chaos if scooters were allowed as the Thai mentality of riding on the streets would pass to the highway.
    • 500cc for starters should be the minimum cc. After all, how can a toll worker be expected to to tell the difference between 150 and 250. I suppose 400c and 500cc could be argued.
    • Bikers should be made to buy an electronic pass. Can you image the chaos fumbling for your money with all your biker gear on?
    • I even believe a yearly privilege pass should be needed with an annual fee of around 10k for example. There aren't many scooter riders willing to pay for that!
    • No biker should be allowed to pass unless they are wearing full gear.

Bikers should also argue the case for less pollution and traffic congestion by being allowed to use the toll way. It would be safer too. Of course there is the risk of going over the top, but a small one should you ride with caution. I'd rather take my chances on the toll that being nearly side swiped and plowing into a car on daily bases due to ignorant car drivers.

    Just my opinion.

    So no Harleys then?

  5. you can get a fake jacket from 320 sp shop near china town or you can check paddock as they have jackets for this price as well but 3 years old models etc.

but you forget leather for that price!

ll2.. the Jacket I mentioned is not fake. Just low cost decent brand "Nerve" also sold in Europe. Other jackets from 320sp may well be copies.

Paddock also sell copies and seconds..especially the cheap old stock.

all i know, everything they sell at 320sp is fake.

I sometime have doubts about some products at paddock too.

They are an official dealer for IXIL exhausts and they sell real LS2 helmets.

    Anything else?

  6. Yeah the gear box is loud as hell. I think people sitting in the cars can hear me shifting lol. Sometimes mine slips through second into third. Need to get that looked into. Remember when i shifted from 5th to 4th but it dropped into 3rd as soon as i let go clutch my rear wheel spun out i almost lost it. Was fun but scary Sent from my HTC One using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

I think you got a lemon.

  7. Motorbike taxis in Bangkok are a death trap. You never know the metality of the driver, whether he is a nut case or not, then there are all the other mad arse barstads on the road. For Bangkok, I use public transport or walk.

Regional cities, the bikes are still really dangerous, but marginally less hazzardous than in Bangkok.

Foriegners with vehicles must always be on guard for the staged road accident, where the people you have supposedly run into, are there with a surprisingly instant apearance of a support group of friends and/or family as witness to your error, and vehemently demanding cash settlement.

    Watch out.

    Are you serious?

    Live a little!

  8. Z 250 competition? Though to be honest I haven't seen many Z 250's on the road. Don't know how many Kawasaki shift. Yamaha/Suzuki lack of dealerships, lack of parts, lack of trained mechanics discussion coming very soon.

You don't get out much, do you?

  9. It's just a question mate, I can't for the life of me see where you are coming from!! Is it the heat making people sensitive?

Price has been mentioned on this forum 37 times already.

    But especially for you:

    CB650F 285.000

    CB650R 300.000

Thank you for that mate, it only takes a few taps on a keyboard to become a very helpful person!!

You could have been very helpful to yourself then.

  10. Besides, teh service costs of 500 series hondas for 100,000 km is around 22,401 thb so if you make 20,000 km per year it is 4400 thb per year for 5 years. Please find/show me a better service deal than this amount in Thailand for a big bike!

That seems an insane amount of money for servicing a simple twin, even for a Western country, for Thailand it would be simply out of the world. What are they replacing, cam chain ? Even if so, it is exaggerated. Simple twins maintenance cost should be virtually zero, just replace parts as needed, then when engine gets noisy, sell and move on.

I think you haven't been to a dealership in a western country for a while.

It will cost you a little more, the price of labour alone.

Also keep in mind that all the parts for the 500 are made locally, so they are cheaper too then let's say in the UK.

You should check some foreign forums about the 500 and read what people say about the cost of servicing.

We are pretty lucky here in Thailand that it is this cheap.

  12. It's funny, because I saw these guys arrive in Chiang Mai after their Mae Hong Son loop and they were pretty happy with the bikes.

Maybe you should have also read this part:

At the first riding segment, I was trying to push the bike several times, but it seemed not be able to go higher than 150kmh. However, my riding sucks, I know, so I was trying to blame the bike instead.
