A 5* hotel Buffet Breakfast is more beyond 1'000.-- THB. I remember the superb Buffet at The Centara Hua Hin where our last visit was some years ago and it was (if not booked together with the room as we did) above THB 1'000.-- p.p.. Now it might be much more. But as they say - you get what you pay for.
-
But I am. It was not profitable anymore. They explained it themselves in the newsletter I get from them.

Thank you HammerMan. Sounds great. Only one thing I do not understand: I thought the 2KTHB were for the car. OK, to make it easy and exclude any misunderstandings: How much is currently a return journey for Sattahip-Koh Samui-Sattahip all-in-all: 1. Passengers: 2 Adults 2. Car: Yes, Limousine 5-seats 3. Accomodation: Private Cabin with built in toilet Thanks a lot for your support.

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2021

I was not aware of that, sorry. My Wife, Thai CItizen, has one account there, that is where I got the information from. -
After Casa Pascal has discontinued their breakfast buffet, you might try just opposite in the Avani Hotel. Good, but surely not cheap.

Bank Savings Interest Rates 2021

LH Bank (Terminal 21, Pattaya) 12 months fixed, 1.85% -
Both Sun Tzu and Miyamoto Musashi teach us that if you strike, you should strike hard and decisively. A 50% attack has little chance of success. Besides it always gets forgotten that this is not only about a regional bout but it is a fight of different ideologies. It strongly reminds me of the effort the allies have taken against Hitler. I agree with Sean Penn. Fight the agressor back as strong and fast as possible.

The standard room has obviously no toilet in the cabin. Only from the Suite upwards it has a toilet. That is at least what I decipher from the room descriptions. So for us (wife and myself) the calculation would be (I am dependent on a toilet nearby for I cannot walk well) and the anticipated duration of the journey (12'000 X 2 + 2'000) X 2 = THB 52'000.-) round trip for two persons incl. car. Or is the price for the suite for 2 persons included ? There are only 2 suites available on board according to the website - so the possibilitites for being able to travel are a bit limited - everything must be organized very much dependent on the available dates of the ferry, but of course that is possible. No idea how much a flight is nowadays. But of course HammerMan is right - another (better) experience with the boat and you can bring a car. Besides we reside in Sattahip - so near to the port, which is an advantage. Quite possible that we will try it some day.

Mike Pence subpoenaed by special counsel overseeing Trump probes: Sources

The US jurisdiction is just one big mess. Recommended for all would be criminals if they would like to do what they want - provided they can afford a bus load of good lawyers. For me this system has completely lost face. What a shame for this wanna be world leader country. -
Exactly what I did and it does not only work with the bus but as well with water taxis at a fraction of the price of a "Klong Tour".

Absolutely. I just had a chance to have a look at todays food bill that wifey brought home - my beloved ham (Thai product mimicking as a German product) has gone up from THB 170.- to 220.-- / 100g in a few days. The parmesan has nearly doubled its price (was expensive even before), but it is not even available at the moment. Its everywhere - I think they call it "Inflation", but this does not apply to my wallet ????

That completely depends on what you like to buy. Very unfortunately NO supermarket offers all the items that we want, we need to shop in Villa, TOPS, BIG C Extra, Friendship, Makro, Backfabrik plus our Indian friend near the Hindu temple (for curry leaves). We never visit any other supermarket but need at least the ones listed. Including Villa. Each one we shop at has its speciality. We buy Milk only at TOPS or BIG C Extra for example. Villa has the best meat selection with the best price/value ratio. Then we know of some small speciality shops which import items themselves from Switzerland. Like British Expats would visit Siamburys for their products which are not to our taste. Plus the Thai Markets. My wife loves to drive ☺️

My Panasonic would accomodate Tarzan. But they dont sell the Top Model here. Maybe has something to do with what you say. A Model 9 Braun will not let you down, either I suppose - the Philips with 3 rotary blades was inferior. In any case I have an emergency set of plastic cheapos for traditional shaving with foam just in case the machine needs some charging and the power is down while the embassador would be enlightend to see me for dinner.
-
The selection in Pattaya is poor poor poor. In my life I have tried the high end models of Braun and Phillips but use now a top Panasonic which I brought with me from Switzerland and which is superior to all the top models of these famous brands. The downside is: They do not sell this model here (no idea why, it was a winner in product comparisons) and this means: No replacement available for the shearing unit which is needed from time to time. A friend of mine sends me some from Switzerland if I need them. But if I did not have brought this one with me a Braun Model 7 or 9 would do as well, they are just heavy and loud. Just make sure that you can buy the accessories as well and ask the seller how long it takes to deliver them. Maybe have a look in Bangkok first ? They might have a better selection at Central Chidlom.

I do not take offense, but your post is quite the opposite of clear. In fact it is downright wrong in some aspects. All I want is to buy the small finger-shaped ice tubes they sometimes offer you in restaurants. That sums it all up. But thanks for trying (what actually ?)
-
You are right. I was just used to Mont Fleur (which has the best taste from the Thai "drinking water"). We make tea and coffee with it and this will remain as is. But for the ice tube production probably overkill. I wish every contributor to this thread a nice day. Some of the posts are useful. Thanks.
-
See my post above. Amen.
-
A question of taste obviously. Thailand really offers a large selection of drinkable water, but we never use the cheap only filtered, osmose and with bacteria killing light treated water. I believe that Mont Fleur is one of the best tasting Thai water you can buy. But with everything taste-related you have to try it. Buy 5 different brands and make a blind test by yourself. Then you might know why we favour Mont Fleur and nothing else (from the Thai water).

You may be right. 7/11 ice has as well holes in it. However, the pieces are much more bigger (=smaller surface, less cooling effect). I love ice and cool drinks. Our fridge is actually quite big, but it could be bigger but we do not have enough space to put such a large second one somewhere.
-
We actually have such a machine but did not use it for a long time. We brought it from Switzerland as part of our container load. The 2 problems in Thailand are: 1. You need to buy high quality expensive water (we only use Mont Fleur) and since it takes quite a while to produce enough ice 2. it uses up a lot of electric energy, again expensive. In Switzerland you just use tap water (it is exquisite) and electricity is as well far cheaper than here.

You can buy Ice Cubes packed in small plastic bags at every 7/11 or Family Mart for THB 8.--. The shape of the ice is most of the time somewhat gross. One needs to break up the bigger pieces into smaller ones. Now some restaurants sell their drinks with uniform smalll ice tubes, about the length of a small finger with a hole across the length of the cylinder. Because of the greater surface, they produce a much more colder drink. I am wondering if a private person could buy these Ice Tubes and where. If anybody knows, please enlighten me. Thanks.

Never had a problem with the depth perception and I would make one of the first places in a brake test competition. But the problem is - they changed the colour test procedure as well and replaced the old card board circle (which I find somewhat easy) with a machine looking like an actual red light where any colour may pop up randomly in any of the 3 places. I find this test much much harder to do and I actually made many mistakes I think. But they let me continue until I had sampled enough right guesses I must conclude. He let me pass then.

Where to meet Hiso Thai women?

Maybe try to get into a club "by invitation" (maybe Rotary is) or get invited to a high class banking event. If you do not qualify you can definitely forget about your whole project anyway. -
Me. Sort of. At the time when we were married already, though. I know my wife more than 20 years, had just the anniversary. But the buffalo was indeed sick and passed away soon after. It was one of 5. So not everything is what it seems to be. Longer ago I actually met bar girls (note the "s") with the honest intention to find a nice man and marry instead of ripping you off. Of course nearly everybody would mock here - just because there are so many from the other category. But definitely not every Bar Girl is the same stereotype.
