  1. Oh, and as for Android, in my opinion it is a far more intuitive touch screen interface than Microsoft's. They've had so many goes at it but never really seem to get it right.

Not least because of the dazzling variety of apps you can get for it compared to the paltry Microsoft store.

  2. I would say hold out for the Yoga Tab 3 Plus, which has 3Gb as well as 802.11ac Wifi.

Problem is it's like finding rocking horse sh!t at the moment.

Added: I tell a lie, it's available for some bizarre reason on Amazon Germany, and I have a forwarding address in Frankfurt, so thanks to your post I now have one on order :w00t:

Not sure if you read the bbc article analysis I posted but from being the most complete team last year - think we can all agree that while they have some decent individuals it was the team ethic that won them the Premier - and you take out one individual and now they can't score can't defend.

There is a lot more wrong with that team than one absent player.

  4. You HAVE to put your destination into Uber. Drivers get to choose if they want the fare or not BEFORE they accept it. If you get refused, it's because the destination you want is probably not the one you selected.

I have never once had an Uber drive accept a journey and then turn up only to cancel it.

You can assume that if a driver accepts a fare he is OK going where you want to go. If he comes and then changes his mind, you can simply report him, but I've never heard of it.

And don't forget GrabTaxi is also available if you want to book a taxi for a particular time.

The ruling that the government showed “no evidence” that the travel ban would prevent terrorism is preposterous and should alarm every American.

Any such evidence would be classified and certainly wouldn’t be produced in a hasty, one-hour hearing, which the judges conducted over the telephone. The Constitution and laws give the president wide authority to decide whether the entry of “any class of alien” would harm the United States.

Effectively claiming that authority for itself, the court grossly oversteps and obliterates the separation of powers. It also opens itself to public fury if the ruling opens the door to terrorists.

How do you explain Saudi Arabia, the current clear market leader in sponsoring terrorists, being left off Trump's list then? Anything to do with all of his companies in the kingdom?

You need to wake up and smell the coffee.

The whole deliberate handball thing is not applied by the letter of the law.

Fouls are given for unintentional handball every week.

Usually the refs apply their own interpretation of the arm being in a natural or unnatural position, not always if it's deliberate or not.

Sanchez' arm was in an unnatural position and any other day that would have been given as a foul. You could bet if he was defending and the ball struck his hand like that it would be a foul.

I agree it does seem rather arbitrary sometimes, but in this case there is no way he had his hand there expecting the ball to come back.

And there is no way the defender that blocked the Ox's shot did it deliberately.

But for the red card: He knew it was going in the net and just chanced it.

^Carmine by now you should know that all bad refereeing decisions for and against a team equal out over a season - from 'The World According to Chicog'.

Only in your fictitious world does your club get hard done by.

Alexis Sanchez's first Arsenal goal was handball... Mark Clattenburg apologised to us at half-time, says Hull defender Andrew Robertson

'When we came out at half-time, the referee's apologised to us and said there was handball so he's obviously looked at it at half-time and seen he was in the wrong.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4214912/Alexis-Sanchez-s-Arsenal-goal-handball.html

"Sorry it was handball" is not the same as "Sorry it was deliberate handball and I made a mistake".

Plus he consulted his assistant referee, and I'm guessing they both came to the same conclusion. It wasn't deliberate handball.

Confirmed by both Howard Webb and whatever Referee Sky use, because I can't remember his name.

    Really, it's a no brainer.

    Things these even themselves out.

  11. So we're talking about Sanchez' goal?

Obviously not deliberate handball. Some of you need to read the laws of the game.

No more deliberate than the stray arm that blocked Oxtail-Chamberpot's goalbound shot.

Really, you lot should have a pint of bitter with your sour grapes.

Referring to Bob's post. Easy enough to follow unless you have a burr up your ass.

All he made was a comment about the linesman.

I'm sorry my powers of telepathy aren't what they once were.

By the way, they are called Assistant Referees and have been for years.

Now, do you want to answer my question or do you have another inane comment to add?

You have deliberately taken my point out of context and the UKSC CANNOT and DOES NOT overrule Parliament

Maybe things were different when you were there but you didn't know it  :)

Can the UKSC overrule the UK Parliament?

No. Unlike some Supreme Courts in other parts of the world, the UK Supreme Court does not have the power to 'strike down' legislation passed by the UK Parliament. It is the Court's role to interpret the law and develop it where necessary, rather than formulate public policy.

    https://www.supremecourt.uk/faqs.html

Well that's odd, because only recently it overruled the government to mandate that Brexit could not be launched without an act of consent of Parliament.

As far as I know, the US Supreme Court does not formulate public policy either. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is there to interpret laws (and EO's) to determine whether or not they are constitutionally acceptable.

Ergo, both Supreme courts are there as a check against overreaching by the other branches of government.
