THEY HAVE NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER TO TOUCH OR TAKE ANYTHING unless you let them of courseJust had some interesting information from a friend. He said that one of his friends who runs a small jewelry and clothing manufacturing and sales outlet got hit for 50,000 Baht. The strange thing was they don't even have a radio or TV in the place and they don't play any music. The charge was for music that was on their computer , so it was said.
Anyone know of anything like this???? Cripes I don't play music or have a public radio or Tv,but sometimes I sing in the shower..... do you think that would be a problem.
Is this this legal or not ??? With all the publicity this thing has generated, you would think if it was totally a scam some police body would have cracked down by now. You know , that you try and do your best to be aware of all licenses and permits needed and then somebody comes up with something like this and its hits you out of the blue.
Excuse me, but what gives them the right to enter private property and look at your computer without a search warrant?? There could be valuable proprietary information on that computer!
Unfortunately, most folk, including the locals, don't know their rights.

Didn't know the moat wall was fake. How completely disappointing.
They did a great job making it look old.
Probably unintentional. Even KSK looks the same age, from the outside

Opened the 48hour fire kmz file for SE Asia in google earth. Shows a fire right in the middle of Alpine Golf Course near Ban Thi. I wonder how accurate it is. These must be major fires to show up.

Yes, cracking picks.
Thinking it'll be more like this in another 40...
Probably have filled the river in by then for more condos & malls

I think I will also spend a lot of time there once it finally opens. Maybe I should edit that.. Depending on parking I may spend a lot of time there.
I was thinking of spending some time there also. According to the original presentation the parking would be no problem. They had a lot of it at a distance and there was a shuttle to take you to the mall. There also was going to be a park.
Perhaps with designated bench seats for old Thai Geezers to chew the fat?
And talk about are operations.
Would that be "Special Operations"?

My Vigo can wheel spin off the line at the stop light drags , max torque from 1400rpm up, Does not neeeeeeeeed high rpm like your saloon, just need to shift gears.
As yet no smaller ride beats it.
I can probably beat 90% of drivers here "off the line" on my bicycle. SOP at green light here seems to be "release brake", car being in drive all the time on red light, but don't bother putting foot on throttle.....

Going by the google street view images, I conclude there is a lot less traffic on the roads compared to 40 years ago

I can tell them for much cheaper price that its going to rain/flood someday in the future.
my price is 1 billion bath.
A big flood & you'll have enough water for 1 billion baths

If they misspelled "geologist", maybe their proof reader (spellchecker) substituted "ecologist"?

There are five CNG stations in the Chiang Mai area
Care to inform the OP where they are? That was his request......

Nope no flak and no disrespect, however when peoples lives are affected by someone else's religion and it dictates what they can and cannot do that is where the line is drawn, if you believe in something FINE knock yourself out just dont force your beliefs on others because that is why religions have killed more people than all the wars put together and it because of exactly that, forcing your beliefs on others.IMHO. Whilst Religion may be not be your 'thing'--surely, since we are living in a predominantly Buddhist country, [ as 'Guests', as well!! Apparently] surely, we could show a little respect??
Now I'm going to hide from the incoming FLAK!
It is well-known that Buddhists do not force their beliefs on others. You must be thinking of the Christians, etc.
Since this day is a national off-work holiday, one can understand that many of the Thais with a fondness for alcohol might be tempted to go overboard, so by not selling alcohol today it is reminder to them of what today is, and that's about it.
Bet they didn't hesitate to "go overboard" last night. Tomorrow it's back to work anyway.

CNG you do not get as much range, LPG is better for that if you are travelling upcountry a lot as far as I know, everyone I know has LPG, no one has CNG.
The subsidies on LPG might not last forever. Also the OP is looking at a factory installation for CNG, not an aftermarket LPG conversion.

Don't know how bad the air is today, but it feels as if you'd need a knife to cut it
