Vehicle emissions are just a fraction of what is produced in burning season by crop burning.
Not if you live in the city, with current diesel vehicle numbers.

My daughter tried to take 4 small ones back to the UK last year,
they were found after a baggage check in UK and were confiscated
as you need a physosanitry certificate from Thailand,so for a few Orchids
does not make it worth while.

Cut flowers aren't a problem

No problem taking cut flowers back to UK. It's potted plants with soil on that they are concerned about. I usually buy those on sale at BKK & they're opened & put on display within 24 hours. After a week, they're usually finished.
A cheaper source in Chiang Mai should be cheaper, Any suggestions?

Or opposite in T-bar,

Better still, The Smith Residence, 3 large cans of Chang @135 baht. Chilled well, glasses in the freezer, no problems driving home....
We'll all be round ...... but you have to serve the beer wearing hot pants or a beer dress.
Sorry mate, only got a Sloggi

The red songthaos are all over the limit too.
Try driving behind the blue dump trucks carrying soil & stone through villages at full throttle. Glad i have a HEPA filter in my pickup

You;re in Thailand,
Listen to Thai bands playing Thai music!
I probably listen to more Thai music than most foreigners, in the car, at home and in local restaurants, but thank you for your comment. Anything you would like to tell the two Thai performers on the video? Perhaps something like You are Thai, sing Thai music?
I can sing along in Thai to many of the popular Thai songs.
(but only half translate the words)
Do you serenade the Thai cyclists on the climb to Doi Suthep, as you "power past" them?

Mangoes are great. We love them at our house and buy different varieties. But we never touch the rice. There is enough fat, sugar, and cholesterol in it to automatically harden your arteries and add a couple of cm to your waistline. Nasty stuff. Having said that, mangoes are not exactly health food. One cup=25 grams of sugar!
It's a dessert. a treat. You're not expected to live on it. Some exercise might be advisable, too

OP, you go jogging in Lamphun, in the morning, with the cr@p air down there? Next up the dogs will be asking which hospital to take you to
-
Not that surprising. There are companies advertising packages that make this route simpler. They even provide the accommodation and 'economic activity'! Clearly this is misuse of the immigration rules.
It makes a nonsense of the obstacles people face doing the thing by the rules. They just need to make the rules a bit fairer and allow some flexibility then Surinder Singh would just go away naturally.
Sad that they seem to consider a non-EU spouse to be such a problem when it is EU citizens that make up the bulk of immigration numbers.
And a drain on welfare benefits!

Headline... 5 Dead.
From the story "The head-on collision killed both drivers of the bus and truck and two other passengers, who include a Myanmar man and a woman."
I may be old and I know my math skills are not what they used to be, BUT, 2 drivers killed, plus 2 passengers. Last time I checked, 2+2=4 not 5.
I do wish Thai reporters would check their facts, and proofread the stories.
... and the road carnage continues.
Correct - very frustrating, and why mention the fact in one line that the dead include a Myanamar woman, and in another line, "two other passengers, who include a Myanmar man and a woman" A.Myanmar man and woman TOTALS two people, not INCLUDES two people.
MEthinks the reporter is trying to blame the Burmese for the crash

Just to help guys, when talking about places to buy them, could we mention a town too? I'm a little lost with some of these.
Which subforum is this topic in? That should be a clue
-
When you find it, can you share the location can contact details?
I'd like to start a petition against the noise.
Just fire rockets at them. Should be fun trying to hit one

Send the wife, girlfriend other half, maid etc.as the popularity of chiang mai grows,i should imagine,so will the 90day reporting,as more and more elders settle here.just have to think smart, and try all angles, until you find one that is for you THAILAND,mentioned a few, must be some more, and other ways of getting it done.??
It would be cheaper to use g4t , than send the wife on her own to Promenada

Picking a fight with a Chinese could only result in serious injury because they all know Kung <deleted>! Just the threat of using their skills is enough to scare hardened criminals away!
You have been warned...
I love it! Even "Kung <deleted>" gets censored
Unbelievable, the did they censor Kung <deleted>! What is wrong with kung <deleted>? I'll see if not using capitals helps kung <deleted> avoid the <deleted> getting <deleted>'ed. My name when I was working in China was Ming Fa, I wonder if the Fa will cause as much offence as <deleted>, as in kung <deleted>. Ming Fa or kung <deleted>, we will see who the winner is.
And to keep the topic on topic, I found the Chinese drivers in China the worst in the world, and their skills have transferred here very conveniently, but I haven't been to every country.
<deleted> or fa, that is the question.
FA is sweet

Thank you Tywais.
I have not had time to check out the links you have provided but I believe I now have the answer(s) I asked for.
Just one bit of extra clarification.
The OP went to the old (airport) Immigration site but Nancy L suggests the new Prom site. To save a lot of searching does anyone know which is the best option?
People get fined at the airport office, including my wife. I've not heard of fines at Promenada.

It wont be long until the hot chinese women are living here looking for rich farang...
Keep dreaming

Does it have to be filed even if you've done a 90 day border run on a multi entry visa? Officially, you've left the country, but still stayed at same address everyday.
Without doubt a definite yes no or maybe.
That's what I thought, too. Possibly...

Thanks for the report. Its a load of nonsense having to file a TM30 and I like his "dont worry about the owner signing"
That's exactly how important it is.Hope your rent doesn't go up !
That 1600 baht will have to be recovered some how. Might be cheaper in the long run to reimburse the landlord

Try searching Everytrail.com. I recommend the hike to the Buddha footprint on Doi Pui. Catch a songteau to Ban Doi Pui Hmong village.

No need for stats, observe exhausts, or try cycling in it. Where are your figures to prove otherwise? And who are the "majority" that believe most pollution comes from outside Thailand?
