Don't rush to change/port to True/DTAC (considering you have an unstable True fibre!).
Be aware that DTAC is not an independent company anymore but taken over by True.
(3BB taken over by AIS/AWN).
Do you have dual SIM mobile and a slot available?
If so just buy the cheapest True/DTAC SIM and test before doing any change.

The raw speed test to AIS done with OOKLA:
(clever dicks telling that this is a fake test/not right: save your time to post)
What numbers do you see?
You have 10 Mbit/s unlimited (volume)?
Is there any chance that you have been throttled (as described in the fine print) for excessive volume, using torrents or the like?
-
Very unlikely that the numbers posted have anything to do with cable cut.
(and who knows the current status?)
Just did speedtest from my 3BB fibre (Mbit/s):
London, Vodafone 374/71
Frankfurt, D Telekom 204/84I have an AIS network SIM (GOMO, only available through a Thai person).
The raw speedtest to AIS usually gives something like seen below.
(not central Bangkok though)
Circled in red:connection type (4G+) and signal strength plus ping time.
What do you see for your SIM?

Discussed frequently.
X posters, x opinions.
To me: they are obliged to check/copy passport for foreigners.
Some take it easy some don't .
Hotels that I stay even searching for the admitted until/extension stamp.
I would never go on an remote/overnight trip without passport. More reasons for that.

would be fairly obvious that many of my docs are prints rather than photocopies.
I can print the copy button on my laser printer and get worse results than scan/print.
If they desire so they can have.
Don't forget that as far as I know you need to show the original document for every copy that you supply.
You sign every copy as saying it's correct / unaltered.
As if that is not enough...
Paranoid harassment

Us Weekly reports a minor hiccup when Pax had a mishap on a jet ski, but thankfully, he’s okay.
Guess he "damaged" the rent scooter.
Look here! Look here!
Paid in full for a new one, no problem.

What you'll probably next experience is that you'll be required to get photocopies from only "approved" (connected) commercial copy shops and then provide receipts. Cha-ching Occam's Razor.
Yea that's what I mean with "copies at the office". 5 or 10 Baht/copy

I can't even find out when Pattaya Immigration & Bangkok Bank are open as it's Visa renewal time.
I guess it has been discussed and stated a hundred times here:
official public holidays 12 to 16.
Effectively meaning that for three non-weekend days (12, 15 and 16) immigration offices and bank main branches are closed. Visa agencies etc. up to them.
April 12 was announced in February as an extra holiday and indeed some confusion as calendars not been updated (e.g. at our immigration website).

she will only accept photostated copies of the documents BUT NOT SCANNED COPIES.
?
Wonder whether this would retire my laser printer/scanner?
How exactly do they distinguish?
Only accepting copies made at the office to earn a few Baht or what?

Any penalties or problem there, even after 5 or 6 months..., I don't have to start from scratch or anything ...!?
No penalty up to one year after expiry.
After one year: theory/multiple choice test.
After three years: start from scratch like new license.
Quoteeven 4 or 5 months ahead is possible ...?
No, three months ahead for the 5yr license.
But in your case not useful.

Is there something in your bank app opens the phone camera to do a facial scan when transferring or something?
Yes. A egg head frame appears where center your head to and then do some grimace/eye blink.
(not even sure about the grimace from last occurrence)

I have read, and my friend confirmed, that SCB says that it doesn't apply to non-Thai account holders, only Thai account holders.
Yes, SCB doesn't.
Took three visits to finally get the correct message and instead a somewhat complicated procedure on the phone to Bangkok hotline to get a waiver (assisted at the branch, they don't even have it completely in English).
I can now set transfer limits in the app as desired.

No worries with "Fixed Deposit" from Bangkok Bank at Khon Kaen immigration since 11 years.
And I can't remember anyone reporting problems at other immigration offices.

It's about the account type.
The balance shown must be available for full withdraw at any time (no penalty).
Some account types with higher interest might not fulfill this condition.
The usual "Fixed Deposit" on the other hand does.
I am not aware of any Thai banks not allowed.
(all banks in the country are registered under Thai law whatever foreign name they might have.
Which bank you choose is more of a practical decision depending on how experienced banks are in handling foreigners.

Songkran in Pattaya is April 18th and 19th.
Don't know why ?
A theory behind:
many of the staff going home to visit the family.
Come back and fully staffed party starts.
True or not?

Really confusing when it will end as various government agencies have announced an "extended" Songkran but I have yet to see any official dates published in the Royal Gazette...The final authority
Forget it. It's a PR stunt by tourism organization.
Nothing offical/governmental.
Claiming Songkran national/world cultural heritage bla bla.
There might be local events or whatever.
But even Thailand can not afford to go on national holiday for three weeks.
I read here some days ago that a lone Chinese got the wrong message and stood with his water cannon waiting for the party to start

Those are the official dates. It always starts a day or two earlier in Pattaya.
You can bet that Friday the 12th will be wet.
All in "holiday mood" already.
A bar manager in Soi 7 threatens with the 11th.
Remember: the 12th has been declared an extra public holiday.
So expect absolute traffic gridlock to start on late April 11th with the influx from Bangkok.
I don't know how you can create more than the existing daily traffic chaos but there must be a way.
Came back from 10 days in Pattaya on March 27th.
Had my car on the hotel parking untouched until departure. -

AIS Mobile Internet too slow (and True fiber unreliable)
in Mobile Devices and Apps
Posted
Sure but look at the numbers in the OP.
120 kB in 5 minutes.
That's about 3.2 kbit/s!!
Way off any usual deviations and not even throttling can explain that.
Restarting phone is an option, doing malware check etc.
