I would avoid that. Don't go with the flow towards north of Bangkok.

HW 2 and 1 are THE absolute bottleneck to the end of Songkran towards Bangkok.

Even on normal days HW1 is always crowded.

I drove HW 304 last July towards Chachoengsao and can't  remember big trouble with construction.

On the other hand don't expect traffic around Chacheongsao be easy. Always quite busy.

    Particularly HW 314 towards M7.

But as it is a holiday at least no school/office traffic etc.

I assume less risky than HW 2 and 1.

Less on average per day than rest of the year.

What can happen in four lane gridlocks.

Average speed less than 20 km/h.

Maybe chocking to death from exhaust fumes.

They didn't have to power the entire airport, only the control tower, runways and immigration, so that arrivals could continue. Who cares if duty free is open or not.

As I wrote earlier. But some posters found it funny or worth nitpicking.

Reports say that this biomass fueled backup wasn't even designed to supply full power needs but working "in parallel" to the grid.

A source from the airport says back-up generators kicked in, but they weren't enough to power the whole airport - an air industry boss says it raises "serious questions"

    Which does not surprise me.

Agree. Something a bit bigger going on here. When the power goes off ALL airports have backup systems.

They have. For a limited time and volume to handle incoming flights nearby (ATC, tower), light for runway/taxiways, emergency light for orderly evacuation etc.

But if the main power supply is burning there will be an end to that when batteries and diesel fuel run out.

DR Olivier? Isn't he the fully trained anaethetist?

Has a diploma in anesthesia and intensive care.

Licensed/registered at the Thai health ministry.

    Working as a general practitioner.

Is not "up on Thappraya" but down at Thepprasit Soi 12.

Visited him only once and was very satisfied.
