EZY Airlines will begin scheduled flights between Hua Hin and U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport on October 23, following an inaugural trial service on September 30.
The new route will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, using a Cessna Caravan C208B configured with 10 passenger seats. Promotional one-way fares will start at 2,900 baht, with tickets due to go on sale on October 10.
The airline said bookings will be available through airport counters, the EZY Airlines website and online travel platforms.
A 40-minute link to the eastern seaboard
The inaugural flight left Hua Hin Airport at 8.49am on September 30 and reached U-Tapao at 9.29am, a journey of 40 minutes.
Representatives from Hua Hin's local government and tourism sector joined the flight, before attending a launch event at U-Tapao. The aircraft was welcomed with a water salute.

The service provides a direct air connection between Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan and the eastern seaboard, including Rayong and the Pattaya area. It is intended as an alternative to the considerably longer journey by road.
Small aircraft, regional ambitions
EZY Airlines is developing services between tourism destinations not directly linked by larger commercial airlines, using Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft. It also operates flights between U-Tapao and Surat Thani.

The Hua Hin service is part of broader efforts to increase traffic at Hua Hin and U-Tapao airports, while improving links between secondary tourism destinations outside Bangkok.
The carrier has previously outlined plans for routes involving Hua Hin, Phuket, Surat Thani and Krabi. Its expansion has not been without difficulties: in August, EZY withdrew planned northern services, saying airport parking charges had made those routes commercially unviable.
That experience underlines the challenges facing low-capacity regional air services, where operating costs can have a significant effect on whether routes remain available.
