A 17-year-old Thai male died after falling from the 11th floor of an apartment building in Pattaya's Soi Pratumnak 6 on 17 September 2026.
Police were called at 5.35pm to the rear of the building in Chon Buri. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene after falling from room 1131 on the 11th floor.
Police Captain Pakorn Prakopnan, an investigating officer at Pattaya City Police Station, attended with officers and volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya rescue foundation. A large number of local people had gathered at the scene, and officers kept unrelated people away from the area.

CCTV review under way
Investigators established that the teenager had been staying in room 1130. They believe he went to the adjacent empty room, 1131, before falling or jumping from that room.
Police and Pattaya City Police Station investigators examined the area and will review CCTV footage as they gather evidence and establish the circumstances in detail.
The body was taken by rescue workers to hospital for safekeeping before a post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death.
Mother describes son's recent stress
The boy's 46-year-old mother, whose name was withheld, was at the scene in a state of grief. She told officers her son had been stressed after losing his job and may also have felt upset with her.

She said she had felt unwell during the previous night while her son was playing games. He later went to the bathroom and shut the door loudly, after which she simply asked him to close it more quietly.
There had been no argument, she said, and she had not expected that he would become so upset.
