2 or 3 SINGLE exit/reentry permit on a single application?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Cannot find this discussed before, but can I apply for 2 SINGLE exit reentry permits on a one time visit to IO, rather that multi exit reentry. I may only leave country twice at most in coming year, so 2000THB cheaper than 3800THB.

Thanks

Unfortunately not.

Just get them at the airport each time.

Oh I didn´t know either.... So you can only buy 1 re entry permit at  a time when visiting the immigration office.... Seems strange really.....

Oddly, I asked that same exact question last week at Chaengwattana Immigration -- can I buy TWO Single Entry permits/stamps for my passport...

And the answer was NO... only one stamp/permit, either single or multiple/unlimited entry.

Like you, I'm anticipating two out of country trips during the coming year. So I need more than a single entry, but don't need 3800b worth of unlimited entries.  Unfortunately, Immigration was no help.

So, buy and use one single entry, and then have to go back or go to the airport and get a second single entry later (in the airport's case, only on the day of a departing flight).

BTW, just to be clear re the OP's original question about two permits on a single application, I actually had two separate single entry reentry permit applications filled out and ready to submit. But they would only take one from me, not two.

You can only have one valid re-entry permit in your passport at a time. That is immigrations policy.

BTW, on a related note, does anyone know -- is the online reservation system for reentry permit applications working for Chaengwattana?  I saw the signs for the online reservations system there in the office, but I thought it had been down/out lately?

Someone asked me about the online reservation system for reentry permits there, but I didn't know the current status.

You can access the site now. The extranet the site is on was down for some time. I would guess it is working.

You can't get just one Oreo either.  It's a minimum pack of six.  Tough for guys in your financial predicament, I know, but this is the world we live in.

I was overly optimistic when I expected this to open on my smartphone huh? ?

Nothing new. Been that way since inception.

I don't get that that message on my computer when I open the site with IE Tab on Chrome.
