An abbot and his accomplice who ran a drug rehab center in Nakon Nayok have been busted for peddling drugs.

Phra Khru Opatthamchot and his sidekick Suwan Imsamai charged people hooked on drugs 500 baht each for treatment at their center connected to Wat Khao Perm Sri Sawang.

But their potions masquerading as old fashioned Thai remedies aroused the suspicions of members of the public who contacted a drug hotline on 1386.

Undercover officers went in to buy two quantities of two different remedies that were on sale for 100 baht a bottle. All the evidence was sent to the lab.

Both varieties were found to contain the restricted drug methamphetamine and caffeine.

Yesterday a large raiding party of local and regional cops descended on the temple and arrested the abbot, aged 61, and his forty three year old helper.

They have been charged with dealing in Class 1 drugs.

Abettor would be a more apt description !

So they were selling meth at a rehab center, I'll bet it was popular with the addicts !

Well well would you believe it !!! Another Abbot getting up to no good.

Again a temple being used for drug dealing, is there any monks anywhere here honest men?

I'd like to ask the abbott of Wat Dhammakaya that very question...............but I can't find him anywhere!

Politicians, police and monks. The three sets of people I avoid.

At the end of the day, they're all people. And what do many people get up to when they think they're above the law? No good, that's what.

There must be a reason why orange is a color used for alarm signs.

Monks are just "ordinary" people. Many greedy, drug addicts, horny?

Make them  both drink all the remedies,

and go through the withdrawal with no help or subsitute

substance that lessons their craving,

there are  some real sick people in this world

these two are trying to get ahead,  in the queue

of parasites.
