BANGKOK, 8th September 2017 (NNT) - The National Legislative Assembly has endorsed the new version of the law governing entertainment venues in the country.

At its sitting on Thursday, the NLA deliberated the draft amendment of the Entertainment Place Act, which has been vetted by the respective special committee.

Chairman of the vetting committee Jate Siratranon informed the assembly that the draft amendment is intended to clarify the law’s reach saying that it should not cover any health establishments.

The draft amendment has seen the removal of spa and massage operations from the list of businesses deemed hazardous to health, he said.

After their deliberations, members of the legislature cast a majority vote to pass the draft into law.

In addition, the NLA has acknowledged the results of the Cabinet’s implementation of programs related to the management of the perimeter of universities as suggested by the committee on education and sports.

So, "Happy Ending" massage parlours are exempt.

Well isn't that a big surprise!!!

Don't worry the sex trade for locals will not change...
