‘Neighbourhood python’ finally goes too far

A large reticulated python that has taken shelter in the same Kamphaeng Phet neighbourhood for the past three rainy seasons overstayed its welcome on Thursday by swallowing a homeowner’s cat.

The unidentified woman returned home to Tambon Nong Pling in Muang district after finishing work at the Kamphaeng Phet Hospital Co-op and found that her year-old cat had been eaten.

She summoned authorities at 10.30pm, who spotted the snake under a pickup truck in her driveway. It was captured and hauled off to a forest to be released.

Learning that the same snake was an annual visitor to the neighbourhood, the authorities urged residents to check around their homes and keep doors and windows closed at night.

Monty.

Should have run it over , an eye for an eye , or in this case a cat for the pythons life .

how does she know her cat was eaten? Excuse me Mr. Python... open wide and let me see what that bulge inside is!

You gotta eat!

Hardly news worthy....

Glad to hear the python had a good feed before being dispatched to its natural environs.

Sadly, it didn't consume the lower IQ species.

So the poor old python won't be allowed a visa when he wants to hole up for the rainy season.

Interesting

Because they made the poor snake regurgitate the cat, The Snake was doing what it is supposed to do,

It was only a cat.

Complain if it was a dog.

OMG. Does this mean we will be having Soi pythons?

At least Soi Pythons won't keep you awake with their barking.

I'd only complain if it ate a human child, everything else is open season, especially soi dog's, have never been chased by a Soi Cat................

Pythons much cleaner, quieter, more discriminating in attacks on passing members of the public than any half-starved diseased soi dogs.

I like the trend.

Monty got away again
