Freight train derails, forcing temporary change to Northeast route

The State Railway of Thailand on Saturday (Sept 9) announced that all trains taking the northeastern rail route have been temporarily switched to use the Bua Yai – Nakhon Ratchasima – Kaeng Khoi route after a freight train derailed at Pha Sadet railway station in Saraburi province.

 

The SRT stated that freight train No 1601 loaded with cement of TPI Polene Plc derailed at Pha Sadet railway station in Saraburi at about 12.20pm on Saturday.

 

Sixteen carriages and one air-conditioned sleeping coach which derailed obstructed the train operations.
