And out of the country they are currently in? But surely they can apply online for renewal/replacement passport to be "posted" to them?
September 11, 20178 yr No problem leaving with expired passport or traveling in transit. New passport must be applied in person. http://thaiembassyuk.org.uk/en/thai-passport-en
September 11, 20178 yr Might be worth checking if the Thais have an embassy in Dublin. Could be easier to get to than London.

No passport needed. The answer to your basic question has not changed since you last asked it As you were told in that topic; as all Thai passport applications must be made in person so biometrics can be taken, they can either travel to the Thai embassy in London and renew their passports there, or they can enter Thailand on their expired Thai passports and renew them while there. 9 minutes ago, RandG said: Might be worth checking if the Thais have an embassy in Dublin. Legally they would need a valid visa to enter the RoI; unless they also have British citizenship and passports and so used them.
September 11, 20178 yr Contact the Royal Thai Embassy. They often send staff around the UK on Consular visits. My wife renewed hers in Edinburgh a year or so ago.
