KORAT: -- A missing Thai grannie was found following a search by worried relatives and rescue workers.

But she was found the next day alive and well. And not just that.

Despite heavy rain overnight the 73 year old's clothes were well pressed and neat and she was clean and tidy. It didn't look at all like she had slept out.

And she told a story of being taken in by a mystery woman, fanned to sleep - then sent on her way with lottery numbers.

The family of Noon Phacheunjai, 73, were desperate after she did not return home after going to find mushrooms in the Thap Lan national park in Korat.

A search party was formed and they looked all day Monday. The search was called off at night and resumed on Tuesday morning.

Noon was then found wandering in the forest later Tuesday.

She was not disheveled at all - in fact she appeared fine.

She told rescuers that she lost her way while picking the mushrooms. A woman in a green Thai traditional costume took her in and gave her a shower and food.

Another woman in white garb fanned her to sleep.

In the morning she said she wanted to go home and was sent on her way with the numbers 072 for luck.

Thai Rath did not report if the old lady had eaten some of the mushrooms.

"My wife is as crazy as the day I met her. But she and her sister were wild in bed. Those were the days."

She is obviously in aware of the perils of picking mushrooms in a national park. 15 yrs incarceration from memory!

I'm gonna bet that 072 sells out in every city in Thailand today

The Thai lottery is fixed - only hi-sos are allowed to win.  Occasionally a poor person gets a consolation prize then it becomes big news.

The majority of Thai's are going to believe her story, and are out buying

lottery tickets right now,the big question is,did she get any mushrooms ?

BS

The two digits would be 23 or 32

8 X 9 = 72

2^3 X 3^2 = 72

Smoked some yabba at the bfs hut

And you call this a 3rd world country and many will blame you for Thai bashing :cheesy:
