soistalker
My ED visa paperwork with be ready tomorrow.. I will, however, not be able to leave the country until the day after my tourist visa expires. I know it is a 500 baht fine. My question is: will this have the potential to somehow mess up my getting the ED visa stamp at a Thai embassy in a neighboring country?
BritTim
An overstay will not affect your visa application in any way. Since the overstay is only one day, it is also unlikely to have any impact on reentering Thailand. That said, immigration when entering Thailand, are taking previous overstays more seriously than in the past.
lordblackader
Shouldn't have any problem at all -I had a 6 day overstay in January and had no problems with obtaining an ED in March and returning. Serious overstays may cause queries reentering the country but small ones they usually don't care about.
