When can I use the 400000B in the bank? (Marriage extension)

Featured Replies

 Hello,

I'll be applying for my extension on stay based on marriage soon, and I was wondering if I still can't touch that money until I get approval and have the stamp in my passport?

Do you know how long it typically takes for approval?

I want to play it safe... but I also have some shopping to do!

 Thanks.

quite a few opinions on this i think the general consensus was to be  leave alone until

you get the stamp  30 days ??  i am sure there will be others with more bottle than i

sort of safe than sorry situation

You can use part of the 400k baht for living expenses during the 30 day under consideration period or until it is approved and the one year extension stamp is done (sometimes earlier than the report back date).

Taking it all out during the 30 days could be problem if they check with the bank to see if it is still there.

I wouldn't use any of it until you get the stamp, 399,999 is not 400,000.

I always dip into it with no problems.

The money has to be there on the date of application.

They say you need 400k to prove you got money to look after your wife/kids and living expenses to get the visa then you're not supposed to touch it for 30 days? I don't think so.
