Fierce thunderstorm wreaks havoc in Chaiyaphum

A ferocious thunderstorm uprooted trees in Nong Bua Rahaew, Chaiyaphum late on Thursday, damaging homes, cutting off power and blocking a main road.

The storm blacked out the village of Ban Khok Sa-ard village in Tambon Khok Sa-ard for five hours.

 

Power was fully restored by late Friday morning once workers had cleared fallen trees and other debris from Chaiyaphum-Nakhon Sawan Road.

 

Falling trees and branches damaged about 20 houses and several vehicles in the village and blocked off a two-kilometre section of the road.
