Help writing a birthday card in Thai

Hi, I don't know if this is the correct place to post, or even if this is the correct website... But I need help writing a birthday card to my girlfriend in Thai, I've done it once before and got a few things wrong as I was just using Google translate, but now I've set the standard so I need to write all my cards to her in Thai now :') I was wondering if anyone on here could help me? I want to jokingly write something about how I've set this high standard to write her cards in Thai so I need to do it again, and then go on to just say happy birthday and hope you like the presents, love Matt. Oh yh and I wanna start it with dear Api, I think you write her name like อภิชญา

I hope you like your presents = ผมหวังว่าเธอจะชอบของขวัญ

 

I love you = ผมรักเธอ

 

อภิชญา = Apichayaa.  Seems reasonable.

Pronouns should match somewhat in formality. 

If you use a formal 1st person pronoun (like ผม), then you'd normally use formal 2nd and 3rd person pronouns as well (like คุณ for instance).

 

The problem with เธอ is that it has 2 meanings:

เธอ = you (informal)

เธอ = she/her (formal)

 

So while เธอ can mean you, in combination with ผม most Thais will initially think of ผมรักเธอ as "I love her".

 

I hope the girlfriend has some imagination and a sense of humor

Don't worry I changed it to "I love you so much" which I believe is written "ฉันรักคุณมากเลย", and yes she does have a good sense of humour anyway :)
