3 SETV maximum per consulate but for how long?

Featured Replies

Hi All

Iam sure most are aware of the 3-4 maximum of SETV's per consulate but does anyone know how long it is before you can then go back to the same consulate? Also after completing the maximum in Vientiane where is the best place to go next (iam based in Nong Bua Lamphu, 40km SW of Udon Thani).

Each Consulate counts up how many visa have been issued by them in each passport, the time since does not appear to matter.

Juggle Vientiane, Savanakhet, Penang, then obtain a new passport until you reach 50 years old.

I doubt it. It's discretionary and no published information exists.

Although it would be convenient I would avoid Savannakhet as they are under the control of Vientiane. Penang is probably the next best application friendly consulate.

It's probably best practice to avoid reaching the limit and getting the warning stamp as that could be frowned upon at other Embassies/Consulates.
