Uttaradit school director accused of sexual assault

A 47-year-old teacher in Uttaradit has accused her school director of drunkenly molesting her on numerous occasions.
 

Accompanied by her husband, the teacher – whose name is withheld due to the nature of offence –lodged a police complaint on Monday saying the alleged offences took place at her school in Nam Pat district between last December and September 1.

 

She submitted photos and the names of other teachers at the school who were prepared to testify in support of her allegation.

 

She said the alleged incidents took place during office hours and in front of other teachers and students.

 

Police interviewed the complainant and witnesses and visited the school to take photos and gather more details.

 

The teacher and witnesses said that, in the latest molestation, in a hallway near some washrooms, the school director allegedly tried to hug and kiss her.

 

She struck him with her handbag and called for help.

 

Police said they would question the director.

 

The teacher, a two-decade veteran of the civil service, said she was transferred to the school in 2008, while the director had been there since 2014.

 

She had sought a transfer to another school but was asked to withdraw the request.

 

After repeated alleged assaults, she complained of tremendous stress, anxiety and inability to sleep.

 

She said she had contacted the Social Development and Human Security Ministry’s Prachabodi Call Centre and even sought treatment at Uttaradit Hospital for mental-health issues.

 

When a complaint filed with the Uttaradit Dhamrongtham Centre produced no results, she decided to file a police complaint.

Another person in authority, who thinks he is above the law.

I'm surprised the husband has not meted out his own punishment, I'm sure I would.

I think we need a photo to see whether the allegations are plausible

I feel something missing in this story, husband goes with her to complain !!

Bloody wimp should have gone and sorted the director himself.

Shows he has not a lot of respect/love for his wife, any good husband would have gone and knocked out the directors lights.

Right, and end up in jail, leaving the wife into huge debts, paying the hospital bills of the "victim".

Nonsense, no proper man would sit back and do nothing.

Also i am not a keyboard warrior, been there done that, 1984 a pr++k assaulted my wife and paid the price, nothing happened to me as he had no witnesses.

"no witnesses" - I am pretty sure that most serial killers do it privately, does that mean they can't be prosecuted too. you know, because there are no witnesses.

 

Let's get something straight, there do not have to be witnesses for a prosecution.

Btw, are you suggesting everyone to take the law in their own hands ?

We spent 1000's of years trying to build a civil society, are you willing to go back to the caveman, really ?

That said, there can be cases in which taking revenge is the only thing left to do, but i find that quite extreme.

Maybe you are, and maybe you aren't, but your proving nothing by using your "keyboard" to boast about what a "warrior" you were 30 years ago. You can see the problem with that, I hope.

I think it's perfectly legitimate to say what you would do in a similar situation, but wrong to

project your values onto another person whose circumstances might be very different.

Ha! Personally, I will never face this dilemma. If he tried this on my SO he'd get hit with more than a handbag, and she's no keyboard warrior I assure you. I'd be picking up the pieces.

You right on the spot Colin. No need to get violence over a little sexual misconduct or alleged unsolicited sexual advance.

If I were the husband I would go to the director drop my trouser, bend over, show him my buttocks and said, "look if you so horny stick in there, come on, stick it in there".

I will say, "look if you don't want to stick it in there then drop your trouser I am going to stick it up yours". Then I proceed to grap his belt and go for the zip of his trouser. The director I am sure will get the message. Good erh? No violence.
