Khao Yai national park to go towards Thailand 4.0

Khao Yai National Park is going towards Thailand 4.0 with forestry officials now are adopting technology, innovation and creative thinking in managing the park.

 

The creative thinking includes plan for voluntary insurance for tourists visiting the park at low insurance premium, using drones to make aerial patrol, and mobile alerts against forest destruction, fires and encroachment.

 

Speaking at a seminar marking 55 years of establishment of Khao Yai National Park yesterday (Sept 18), Songtham Sukdawang, director of the Office of National Park said at present Khao Yai National Park is heading towards Thailand 4.0 with the adoption of technology and innovations in management.

Why would anyone need additional insurance to visit Khao Yai?? and forestry officials call this creative thinking - the mind boggles. Insured against what - flood, fire and theft? 

Oh, I do love Thai officialdom and their new shiny buzzwords - they try and shoehorn anything in to fit. 

''Thailand.....Creative Thinking'', normally associated with thinking up new scams and probably one of the 'Officials' has a relative that owns an Insurance Brokers Office !

Does "going towards Thailand 4.0" mean I will have to pay four times as much as a Thai resident to get in?

Same as the park entrance fees for falangs?

 

Operating drones? They can't even empty the few trash cans!
