Non-O (Marriage) Extension of Stay

Featured Replies

I knew my extension renewal was coming up next month, but only this morning remembered (in a panic) that the 400k needs to be in my account for 2 months - and I'm short.

Has anyone dealing with Chaengwatanna found them to be flexible on this point - assuming I top up now?

If not, what are my options short of slogging out the whole visa process again? Could I do a border run to get an extra 90 days?

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife for 1900 baht.

You can do this once per entry.

You can not make a border run when you are on extension of stay, it will only give you a 30 day visa exempt stamp.

If you are a parent of a Thai too they can be flexible. Otherwise, as suggested already, apply for a 60 day extension and at the end of that 60 days you can apply for another 1 year extension.

Will that be a problem at Immigration ? Im 30 years old. Will marry my fiance 2 days after arrival in Thailand and i got already all the documents with me for that .

No problem with immigration since they will not know the reason for it being issued.
