LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May said she was bitterly disappointed by a U.S. decision to slap heavy duties on Bombardier Inc's CSeries jets which are partly made in Northern Ireland.

Fugitive ex-premier Yingluck Shinawatra was today sentenced in absentia to five years in prison with no suspension of jail term by the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions after finding her guilty of dereliction of duty in the controversial rice-pledging scheme that caused over 500 billion baht damages to the state.

Seven arrested over alleged call-centre scam

Three Taiwanese men and four Thais were arrested for allegedly running a call-centre scam in which they disguised themselves as state officials to get people to wire them money, officers from Bangkok’s Thong Lor Police Station announced on Wednesday.

Polish suspect asks for translator over ATM blast

Just yesterday, Coconuts reported that nefarious big-legged beggar Benjamin Holst was sick of Asia after being booted from South Korea and Taiwan on this trip to the East (as well as being denied a layover in Bangkok due to previous blacklisting). He announced his plans to go to Amsterdam and never return to Asia just before boarding a flight to Beijing yesterday.
