Hi.

I am traveling to phuket in October and intend to stay for six months. I will get a  tourist visa in the UK  and extend for 30 days . In January

i hope to travel to Penang to get a new tourist visa. My question is will Penang be my best hassle free destination for a tourist visa ?.

Also the last time i extended my tourist visa in phuket i was told ,because i have a Thai son i could extend my visa by 60 days is this possible ?.

You could get a single entry non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai from the embassy in London that will allow a 90 day entry. You would need their birth certificate and copy of their house book registry.

You can get a 60 day extension of stay for any type of entry to visit your child.

If you got the non-o visa you would get a total stay of almost 5 months without needing to leave the country by getting the 60 day extension. Then do a border hop to get a 30 day visa exempt entry.
