Thailand Elite Scam

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is this a scam. I read a lot about it and trusted the posts and reviews. But its been 4 weeks since I started my application and almost 2 weeks since I paid the fee and signed the forms and I have heard nothing back. A person I dealt with named Mike has gone completely silent. I am sat with only a few days left on my stamp. Getting worried that this is just a big hoax!

Are there any reps here for the visa or have I just been scammed. I have all emails, texts and proof of payment.

Did you go through the official Thai Tourism / Immigration for the Elite Visa application and not just some dodgy firm  ?

Isn't there an official website application and process ....  ?

Your information provided as ' Mike ' lacks substance to answer your question correctly.

As unbonjoe mentions.... Give them a call and find out... BUT, make sure you get their direct number from a correct source (i.e. the websites above).

Two weeks does seem like a long time and it is certainly suspicious that an employee of a 'service orientated' business is not responding. When you call Thai Elite, as them if they employ 'Mike'.

Cross referencing Bank accounts with Thai Elite would give you immediate results of whether or not you have been scammed. i.e. Check that the account you paid your money into is the same as Thai Elite account.

I did talk to someone as an inquiry once and was told 100% they could have everything done in one day.

I hope soon you can find the truth.

In my case application I applied on a weekend, clearance was quick and by Friday I was flying into BKK (Suwarnabhumi Airport) for

VISA affixation, which only took a few minutes.

Was mail correspondence with "Mike" made to "name"@thailandelite.com? There ARE a few Western named persons in the contact center. Before I wired money I confirmed independently the target account was held in the name of Thailand Elite Plc, forget which bank.

The staff signature line also always has their family name abbreviated in emails such as

It seems the issue is with the agent, if indeed he was a registered agent and not TE themselves

You need to make sure and quick that 'Mike" is indeed affiliated with TE

How he could have sent money without due diligence beats me.

To the OP,  do keep us posted on the final issue. And all the best for things to work out. Thank you.

Yeah now that the penny has dropped all will be fine from now.

A inflammatory post has been removed.

Hi, please keep us updated as I have a friend who also gave his passport to a guy named like 2 weeks ago and hasn't gotten it back and is also wondering if this is a scam.

I dealt with Thailand Elite directly. I have only good to say about them. Very responsive, courteous and quick to process my application. Not a scam at all if you're dealing with the principals.

I fear you may have been the victim of an unscrupulous individual. Any money you pay to Thailand Elite should have gone to one of the two following accounts (the last four digits of each account number have been redacted).

  • Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Nana Branch, Sukhumvit, Account Number: 800-0-0000X-XXX for USD transfers
  • Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Empire Tower Branch, Sathorn, Account Number:  170-0-127XXX-X for Thai Baht transfers

I suggest calling their call centre on 02-352-3000. It's open 24 hours, but it's better to call during business hours.

Concerning Thai Elite, you don't give them your passport until the day that the Visa is going to be affixed. This is a 1 hour procedure with immigration. They don't keep your passport.

Seems the issue is rectified now and everything has moved forward. There was some miscommunication on their end. I can only assume Mike is an agent although I did use a number on their site.
