Im currently on a trip to the UK and have renewed my UK passport whilst here. My old passport has a reentry permit and an extension of stay until March 2018. The question I have is will this admitted until March 2018 date be stamped on my entry stamp in my new passport when I arrive back in Thailand?

Im just concerned about what to check for in the stamping of the new passport when I arrive back.

Any advice greatly appreciated

Yes. Show both passports and the IO will use the re-entry permit in the old passport.

Once back in Thailand you should go to your local immigration office and have your extension of stay permit transferred to the new passport.
