Auto helmets are about 1800 Baht. The rest you can buy and a good hardware store. As you know the size of the rods and amperage depends on material thickness. builder
The cheep inverter welders are becoming very good all the ones I have used work well , most common rod I see here is 6013 2.5 mm it's good for most jobs and can burn rust or dirt . Fluxes core wire is hard to find and so is the machine . I have a multiproces that I use mostly for Mig with co2 Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
sometimewoodworker
For MIG you will be lucky to find any and if you can they will be over 20,000. inverter stick start at about 4,000, for about 6,000 you will get a machine that does most jobs 6013 rods are everywhere, 2.5mm and 3.2mm, you can find 7018 in some places
David B in Thailand
WelPro and Colt are two brands sold all over Thailand You can buy Lincoln Welders in Thailand but they cost significantly more than the Welpro or Colt inverter or MMA or MIG welders I have seen in Buriram Thailand. Repairs on welders in a timely fashion is a consideration prior to buying the welder. Prices vary from store to store on the exact same model welder in Buriram. Flux cored wire is readily available from a motivated Welpro PC if he does not already stock such.
