October 16, 20178 yr Hi all, Will be going to Penang for a SETV. Do I need a hotel reservation or can I show them (or the agent I'll be using) my 1 year rental contract? My gut says that tourists shouldn't have 1 year rental contracts, but I am not sure what the consulate thinks. :-) And what would be the address you put on: 'Current address' if you go the hotel reservation route? Can you use your Thai rental condo address? Thanks for your valuable information. :-)
October 16, 20178 yr Current address would be an address in a country of your residence. It cannot be a hotel address in Thailand since you’re not currently there.
October 16, 20178 yr 5 months ago I used a copy of my lease in Penang. No problems. And my current address was hotel in penang residential was Australian but my intended was what the lease address.

October 17, 20178 yr Popular Post I think 3 different questions are being confused, here. Permanent Address - on application-form. This can be your passport-country address, if applicable. "Local" Address of the country where one is submitting the application - on application-form. This would be your the hotel address where you are staying during application processing. Proof of Accommodations in Thailand - For this, I have always used a copy of my long-term condo rental-contract plus Juristic-Person "this person lives here" letter. Many use an online hotel-booking. I have not heard of anyone being denied a Tourist Visa anywhere because they used their long-term condo-lease as their "Proof of Accommodations in Thailand." For this purpose, a hotel booking can be obtained online at no cost; it can be canceled if your travel-plans change.
