One Year Non O but Passport Expires in 7 Months

Featured Replies

If I apply in November for a 12 month multiple entry non-O on a passport that expires in June 2018.

I would apply though one of the consulates. Would they raise an issue that the passport expires before November 2018?

You will need at least a year remaining on your passport when you apply for the visa. The written rules state 18 months remaining to apply for a multiple entry visa.

what is the requirement for single entry visa?

So I should be OK for a one year non O single entry using my passport expiring in June 2018?

A single entry visa is valid to use for three months from issue date.

And yes you would be OK for this.

There is no one year non O single entry visa.

If you're from UK and apply for a new passport they will add the unexpired time on the old one to a max' of 9 months so you don't really lose any time.

Seems nowadays renewal takes max' four weeks via Trendy Office in BKK.

Also fairly sure you keep the old one till the new one arrives.
