I seen and indeed gone and shot pistols in a shooting range near Big C in 2nd road nth pattaya.

Is there any shooting places, where they will give you a course on shooting..and a cert...sort of thing?

I got a mate coming on hols soon and he is interested in this.

Also someone told me one of the islands off pattaya, you can go and shoot machine guns etc??? any info on this?

Yes, but just shooting at tourists, not Thai !

why not have a few days in phnom penh, cambodia.

they have a shooting range outside the city with machine guns, pistols, shotguns etc. for a few dollars they will bring you a chicken out and you can fire your AK47 or whatever at it. more fun than the targets!

you can also chuck grenades and fire an RPG if you desire.

Good to see some people are sticking to the topic, there is a lot more to Pattaya than what Tiesto talks about but thats off topic!

The range you are talking about is in the basement of Tiffanys transvestive nightclub, shooting from 09:00 - 21:00 (check), shows upstairs (!) from 14:00. So you can time your visit to co-inside with other entertainment should you choose. Daily range fee 120 Baht Pistol bullet prices .22 cal 3 Baht, .38 cal 9 Baht, .45 cal 12 Baht; 9 mm 14 Baht; target 6 Baht. They have a shotgun and rifle as well.

A few years ago a German guy decided he had had enough of Pattaya and popped it, he fired one test round then killed himself. As a result you may encounter a problem walking into any range alone, bring a friend or hire a bar girl to vouch for you. Not sure if you require to produce any form of ID these days, when I used to go there you simply filled in a day membership form name, address (hotel accepted) paid your money etc.

There is a bar on site so you can mixed firearms and beers.

yeah that Range... it a few 100 metres beyond the Big C complex on the opposite side of the road, sort of across from Easy Ryders Rock Bar.

I just spend a few 1000 bhat when I go.
