So whats happening with Greenland these days, I heard the Danes are ready to fight us off. Things have been quiet for a while. Trump blustering and lying and TACoing again?

Under the old agreement the US could station as many troops as they wanted in Greenland.

Under the new agreement, to be signed at the United Nations General Assembly (I do hope that they have fixed the escalators) the US can station as many troops as they like in Greenland. They are so eager to do so that they (US) have of their own volition gone from 25+ bases to 1, at which they maintain a garrison of 100! That number may increase if they can source some boots which don't fall apart in the cold. Maybe the Nordic countries can help there?

Under the old agreement the US did not have the right to access and exploit Greenland's mineral wealth. Only Denmark/Greenland had that. Under the new agreement the US does not have the right to access and exploit Greenland's mineral wealth. Only Denmark/Greenland has that.

Clearly an absolute game changer - a notable triumph for the GOAT.

Perhaps he will ascend the escalator at the UN building (if it is working) declaiming that this is "his last territorial claim in the Western Hemisphere" !

Same old story. Trump claims he has made a better deal and it's just the same or worse than the existing one., NAFTA became CUSMA (best deal ever) which were essentially identical. CUSMA was no good so he tore that up and made a wonderful deal with Canada (555). The Obama deal with Iran was no good (Obama signed it) so he tore it up and made a new wonderful one(555). The same thing with the Greenland deal.

Everything Trump touches dies.
