I know, it was a friend of a friend.  Sorry but one can never be too careful. You know the number of super snoops on here, you must be sure and clarify otherwise they could send in the hawks.:wai:

can only be a good thing,  better late than never..

Biometric devices to be used to detect foreign criminals

Detecting Thai criminals would be a start!  The smoke signal detection doesn't seem to work; nobody's lit the fire in years!

Retina scan would solve that problem very quickly.

Wouldn't fancy that - having my eyes pressed into an inkpad...

Why not just micro chip everyone on entering the country and place chip readers on every street corner throughout the country. Then if a crime occurs they will have a list of suspects. No need to micro chip the  locals as they never do anything wrong.

So I reckon they are now nabbing blacks only.

Great idea!!  It would save the need for 90 day reporting too because they would always know where you are. 555

The current system to detect criminals is not effective.  Some criminals went back to their home countries and returned under new names, he said.

Get on. You don't say? Unbelievable.

Careful. The RTP might think you're serious.

And you think they don't.  I guess those attending those buildings with the razor wire are just figments of their imagination.:wai:

A very small percentage.

Immigration in Kuala Lumpur is a hallmark of efficiency, fingerprint scanning and fast, go learn from them.

Cause all those Farangs look alike. Especially the black ones.

last part is fairly accurate

Personally, I have variety of friends in bkk whom I hang out with every weekend. White, black, brown, 'yellow' for want of a better way to say it, gay straight and bi male and female.

We have tried several times to have African friends. All the men, as I remember, tried to push drugs on us each time we met and I have never met an Africa woman in BKK who didn't try to sell me sex...... Even some were English teacher and they still tried to sell sex and drugs.

I can only go off personal experience and I am sure there are some diamond Africans in BKK, however, I don't have time to wade through to pools of shit looking for the odd sparkler when I when I I know I will get shitty finger tips. If that makes me racist, then I must be racist because I didn't drop 1 word of a lie.

About 10 to 15 years ago Sukhumvit Road between soi 3 and about soi 11 used to be a pretty awesome hangout spot with a mantra on fun and far less pushy hookers and just more sociable. Now it is packed with African crooks, African street whores (who I assume are of a higher risk than domestic?????), throngs of misogynistic Muslim men and the odd bin liner with legs and glasses.

If this is the quality tourism that Thais long for................ New dictionaries are required..... Quickly

Well, you should put it away.  Such public exhibitionism is not well tolerated in Thailand.

You would think after a crim gets nicked here and booted out he would stay away from the place with a human rights record that is so bad. But we know they do not as so many Peds prove who are caught on their 2nd and third tour of duty.

I wonder what it is that attracts them here and makes them want to keep coming back, as it looks like they appear to feel at home here. They must have got the saying Bag Guys out Good guys in phrase the wrong way round in their minds..

Cambodia has had fingerprint scanners for years. Even failing states such as Afghanistan manage to use them. They don't cause any more delays than not having them. When the foreign street hustlers, pimps, prostitutes and drug dealers on tourist visas get rounded up they wouldn't be able to come back. It should reduce the numbers of foreign low life coming to Thailand to get money. Let's hope its more than just talk this time.
