Phuket Immigration - Wrong 90 day report date

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Don't know if this is a one off, but did my 90 day report at Phuket Town Immigration today - 24 October 2017.

When I checked the new slip, whilst walking out, I saw it stated Please Notify Your Address on 11th October 2017!

Went straight back in again and the same guy changed it (took about 30 minutes on the computer), this time to 21 January 2017.

Politely pointed out that it should be 2018 and he hand modified the slip to this date, spent another 15 minutes messing around with the computer, then told me everything was ok.

Whilst I was waiting, two others came back in with a similar problem.

No idea what caused the issue, or whether it was a computer, or man made problem, but I strongly suggest that anyone who has recently done a 90 day report at Phuket Town Immigration recently check their next Notify Your Address On date (it's on the slip stapled at the back of your passport, if you've not already done so).

Always good advice to check your dates. You were smart I wonder how many guys got the wrong stamp that day and still don't know. You are also polite. I think it's fairly obvious who to blame for the error.

This gives a few insights as to the efficiency of the system and the people operating it.

In Samui, till now at least, when giving back my passport the lady gave it back to me open at the page with the next appointment date. In case of incongruous date I would have seen it immediately! But yes it seems logical to check the dates all the time.
