Hi, I am just back on the board after a lengthy absence so I'm not sure if this is new news. forgive me if its done and dusted.

 

Udon Thani this am. Retirement extension. No problems with standard paperwork. The officer smiled as I'd included a picture of me and Mrs E outside the house. She kept it.

I was given two new forms to sign.  A new version (to me) of the much maligned Personal info form. She only asked for my address in section 2.

Also a quality control form. I (name) was today at Immigration asking for (retirement extension ). The officers full explained bla bla bla. Signed (me).

To my surprise she wheeled out a TM 30 for my wife to fill in. Ive only been here 5 years. So take your wife fellow extenders.

Actually quite fun today. The lady boss was late and not being busy the Officers had everything on her desk when she arrived. There was quite a lot of relaxed banter between the officers and the punters.

Was your wife fined for what is considered by certain immigration offices to be equal to a major felony for her failure to provide a completed TM30 form until now?

No. Not even a squeak. I presume somebody has identified a hole propogated by Immi and taken advantage of by everybody. At least in UT.
