I've been using the MCI operator number of 001-999-1-2001 to make collect calls overseas on a regular basis for years. The service has worked perfectly up until earlier this year. Now the 001-999-1-2001 doesn't seem reach an operator, gets a quick beep beep beep as if the network is unavailable, but consistantly doesn't work.

What other ways are there of making collect calls here from a mobile?

001-999-11111 should get you the AT&T operator for the US.

If not, dial 100 for the international Thai operator and she can help.
