Revelers at a party house in Hua Hin last night had some very unwanted Halloween gatecrashers.

The chief of police and administration chiefs came to join the party.

Sitthichai Srisophacharoenrat and the army had got wind that a group of 20 somethings had come down to the resort to meet for a drugs bash at a house called "Ban Happiness" with some local recruits.

The result was a lot of arrests for drug taking at the pool house in the Samor Phrong housing estate.

The raiding party arrived at 11 pm and ordered the party goers to stop dancing and turn off the music.

Out of 20 men and women aged 20-25 14 tested positive for drug taking. Also showing the telltale purple urine were nine soldiers out of 16 tested.

The raiding party found evidence of drug taking equipment and Thai Rath said the attendees were doiing "Ice", Ya Ba and Ketamine.

They women said they came from Bangkok and they were holding a party for their 16 Army friends, who are about to be discharged.

Great perception. You just said "If you break the law in private, then it´s all ok"
I wonder, does that one go for murder and rape too?

Not the first time I've mentioned this, but bears repeating again. Hey Get Real...GET REAL.

In answer to your query...

In a word...NO

Certainly anyone and everyone...even you...should (hopefully) know that the extreme crimes you mentioned were not the intent of my post.

But to appease your "straw-man" argument...

"party" (v) is associated with having fun...a good time...music...dancing...and certainly not hurting anyone.

In the world I live in...murder and rape (or even a fight) are not assumed with a party or "partying". If such appalling crimes do take place...THEN certainly police actions are justified.

No, but drugs is associated with partying, right! Drugs are illegal, and also carry quite harsh jailtime that sometimes can be compared to murder and rape cases.
Means that you state that the law is wrong. You have probably never heard people taking drugs "partying" or for fun, and later a serious crime are commited because of the intake of drugs changed their mentality?

Was that real enough for you, or are you going to try to explain that under the carpet too. So it suits you, you know.

Drugs make  the mind loose its inhibitions.

Consequently, an individual with fragile mental dynamics can do much harm either to himself or to others

If a drug junkie wants to blow his brains or his nostrils off... fine !!!.... his or her problem and none of our business, as that's what they want to hear....

...but as they can....can... turn to harm others under influence of brain inhibitions...that becomes a societal problem and responsibility and thus a legal duty to reprimand.

Is  that difficult for many a stupid junkie to understand ?......really....please....:sorry:

Disinhibit.

What did you take too much of then?

Avoiding the obvious analogy with alcohol here (though it's not really a analogy since it's also a drug), drivers of cars *can* harm others as a result of their actions (even if they keep under the speed limit and drive sober), yet we do not ban driving cars. We opt to prosecute drivers *if* and *when* they cause damage to others as a result of their actions.

In short, the argument "*X* can lead to *BAD THING* so therefore *X* should be banned" which you appear to be making, is quite facile.

sorry, was thinking in french and not in english....but I'm glad you had your 5 seconds of "glory" in your response that lacked elementary argument.

I am not into the French language but in English, if you had said that drugs can cause disinhibited behaviours then the challenger's statement would be irrelevant, which it still is. I knew what you meant, which it appears he didn't, so no sorry or 5 seconds of fame (glory) as really has no idea of what you were getting at.:wai:

Of course I knew what they intended to say, it was simply highly ironic that that they referenced 'fragile mental dynamics' whilst themselves making spelling and grammatical errors - hence questioning what they, themselves, had taken. It's somewhat concerning that the subtext needs explaining to you :D.

It's still a facile argument though, whether or not the spelling is correct.
