Flag carrier launches Siem Reap-Hong Kong flight

Featured Replies

Cambodia Angkor Air (CAA), the kingdom’s flag carrier, launched recently a new route between Siem Reap and Hong Kong, aiming to increase the number of passengers from mainland China and Europe, a company representative said. Lim Kao, CAA’s vice-president, told Khmer Times yesterday the new service between Hong Kong and Siem Reap, which was launched on Sunday, will operate two flights per week, on Sunday and Wednesday.

Mr Kao said the new flights will be a bridge for trade and tourism between Cambodia and Hong Kong, facilitating air travel between the cities. CAA is also working on a Hong Kong-Phnom Penh route, which will come online soon, Mr Kao announced.

“Hong Kong is the biggest international airport, with lots of passengers from Europe, mainland China and other countries. “We hope through this connection there will be more travellers from Europe and China excited to visit Siem Reap province,” Mr Kao said.
