vietnam visit

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of spending 2 or 3 days in Vietnam. Can anyone advise briefly on the relative merits of Hanoi and Ho Chi Min city?

Weather is quite different.

Saigon hot and sticky pretty much all year (like here).

Hanoi more like Hong Kong, with real seasons.

Keep in mind a Visa is required for most countries' citizens to visit Vietnam.  I got mine directly at an embasy in the US and I believe it was $150.  I think it might be less for other countries but do check.  As far as I know, they do not have a short/transit visa exemption.

(I see your location is Thailand but I'm not sure if that means currently, on vacation, or where you're a resident.)
