In to Chonburi Immigration 31 Oct 17 to inform of change of address. First move I've done here and all within this province, so did my due diligence as to required docs. Other than the form and a declaration of residence (same as used for my annual Non-O visa), I didn't find much guidance online, gov or expat sites. Could well have missed it though.

In any event, was processed at the same desk as per 90 day reports: told that my address had been updated in their computer, given a new green slip and date for my next 90 day report, but was then told to drop off the TM 28 at the office beside the entrance. Once there I was apprised of the additional need for copies of all pertinent passport pages (initial entry, re-entry, dep card, Non-O visa), residence owner blue book, owner Nat'l ID, and owner statement as to my residing in the residence. As two hours had passed at this point and patience was wearing thin, I elected to come back the next day and bring the wife as well.

The next visit saw lots of frustration from the many folks crammed into the little office, so suspect all this may be a new measure. Was more difficult and time consuming than doing the one year visa renewal, but with all forms in hand, signed, and the wife at hand, all was good after some 15 minutes.

**Of note however was the officer's direction to us as she handed my passport back. From now on when I did my annual visa renewal, she indicated my wife would need to come with me to certify my residence.

With that I wished another very frustrated gent chok dee and took my leave. Again this may or may not be a new measure and of course unique to the Chonburi (Jomtien) office, but as I found precious little info online to prep for this, I offer my experience as a heads up to others facing a move and/or renewal of their Non-O visa.

Regards

I might be able to post an update in about 2 weeks time, also from Jomtien Immigration: I'll be moving from my own condo (registered here since 10 years) to one with a rental contract, and its owner is abroad... I guess that the office at the new place might help - they said that they would do the TM30, in any case. So: let's see...
