Bathed in blood fifty four year old Jae Hoo Kim was eventually taken down when back-up arrived. Earlier Monday evening a Pattaya police patrol had been alerted to an argument near an Esso gas station in South Pattaya. Kim was arguing with a Thai woman then ran off. He was cornered then drew a fruit paring knife and warned officers not to come near and started cutting his own head and neck. He said: "I have been conned by a bar girl - I don't like Thai girls", reported 77jowo. Back-up, medics and a Korean interpreter were called before police mounted a charge and took down the Korean.
