Hi,

I have at least two Android apps I'm aware of (GPS logging tools) that stop logging when the screen goes blank, which I have set default to turn off after 30 seconds of no use. Normally I might expect the apps to continue working in background, but have found the only way is to leave the screen on fully to keep them working.

On my device I can go to the obscurely named Android settings under settings/apps/settings/special access/ignore optimizations/allowed and set these apps to be allowed thinking this is the override to ensure they taking power when screen goes off, but it makes no difference.

** Is there another setting in Android 7 that controls this or is the app developer at fault?
