AGENT recommendations (for residency cert)

Featured Replies

Hi All (I hope right place to post),

Is it possible to get an agent to get me a residency certificate via the British Embassy in Bangkok?
(I specifically want to go through the British Embassy).

If so, do you have any recommendations for a reliable agent that i can do this process for me?

Thank you.

I don't think you can have an agent to do it since you have to sign the affirmation in frot of a consular officer.

Affirmation of residency

This service is provided for British nationals required to make an affirmation of residency. The affirmation template will be available at your appointment for you to complete.

To complete and affirmation of residency you will need to bring with you:

Proof of your identity. We accept passports or national identity cards

Proofs of address

We accept driver’s licence, utility bills or postal mail showing your name and local address or house registration.

Does anyone know if the certificate can be obtained the same day or what the wait period is?

(or can the certificate be posted out to an address in Thailand?)

They issue it while you wait, doesn't take long at all, they will call you to the counter, fill out the form, then go away and do the actual certificate and emboss it whilst you sit down in the waiting area, then call you back to the counter to collect it.

You must make an appointment first though, you can do this online https://www.consular-appointments.service.gov.uk/fco/#!/british-embassy-bangkok/oaths-affirmations-and-affidavits/slot_picker
