Thai tax thresholds

Featured Replies

I have tried searching but found nothing similar. Admins please feel free to move if this is the wrong forum.

My wife has been offered a sales/consultancy job by a foreign company based in Europe. Basically her job will entail finding customers in Thailand and directing them to this company.

The salary they are offering is substantially more than she currently earns and does not involve commission.

Does anybody know the current tax thresholds and percentages for Thai workers?

Up until now she has only worked for companies that sort out the tax for her but now she will be responsible for paying tax herself as it is a foreign company.

How does this exactly work? If your income is a year total of 500.000 then you pay 10% = 50.000? or do you pay 10% over 200.000 and 5% over 150.000 so 27.500 in total? TIA

Yes, 27,000 would be right.

Don't forget you also have deductions and allowances that lessen the total taxable income.
