webfact
Nong Bon drainage tunnel construction project progresses by over 30% BANGKOK, 27th November 2017 (NNT) – The construction of Nong Bon drainage tunnel is now more than 30 percent in progress, Deputy Bangkok Governor Chakkaphan Phiewngam said. The 4.92 billion baht worth drainage tunnel construction project is so far behind set schedule due to many obstacles, he said, adding that he had directed the contractors to accelerate their construction works. Mr Chakkaphan said he also ordered the Bureau of Drainage to discuss with the contractors to address and solve the problems and obstacles that affect the project construction in order that the tunnel project will be completed on time as planned. After completion, the drainage tunnel will help drain the water from Nong Bon swamp to Chao Phraya River, preventing the four districts of Prawet, Suan Luang, Bang Na and Phrakhanong districts of Bangkok from being flooded. -- nnt 2017-11-
