For the last 10 years I have received every year a Multiple entry non O  visa in Miami (based on my child in Thailand) .

now they say they can only issue single entry non O in Miami and I will receive mine after tomorrow.

what are the extension possibilities with a single non O visa, once it expires after 3 months?

border run? immigration in Jomtien?

and how long extension will they give me?

It was too late to get a multiple entry 1 year non O from Washington or New York.

If you want a multiple Non O, as in the past, it can be done in Penang.

 

A one-year extension of stay, from an immigration office in Thailand, on the basis of being the parent of a Thai is possible. However, just being named on the birth certificate is not sufficient for this. If you were married to the mother of the child at the time of the birth, you are OK. Otherwise, there is a legalization process needed before you can apply for an extension as the father.

You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your child.

If you are the legal father of your child by way of marriage or legitimization of your parenthood you can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank or proof of 40k baht income.

You could apply for a multiple entry non-o visa in Penang if you can show 400k baht in a bank or income.

As I wrote you can get a 60 day extension of the 90 day entry from your visa at the local immigration office for where you are staying.

Your child will need to be with you when you apply.

You will need their birth certificate plus a copy and a copy of their house book registry. 

You will need proof of residence also if not staying at the address shown on the house book. That could be a rental agreement.
