multi 'O' 93 days possible?

Featured Replies

Hello. Seeking advice please.

I currently hold a non immigrant 'o' multi entry visa valid until next september 2018. I planned to leave the country before each 90 day period ran out (for work or travel) and get a new 90 day period when i return. The next date i have to do a trip by is 12 December 2017.

However, I have a flight to Europe on 15 December 2017. I do not want to overstay. Can i get a legitimate 3 day extension or is it better to drive to a border crossing this weekend and go out and come back in? I am in Bangkok and appreciate your comments and best suggestions.

If you are married to a Thai you can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

If not or you don't want to do the extra paperwork for the 60 days you can apply for an extension, pay 1900 baht and be granted 7 days to leave the country after the extension is denied.

Thanks Ubonjoe. I am married but don't want the extra paper work. Where do i pay the 1900 baht for 7 days? I am in Bangkapi now. Cheers

You do it at the Chaeng Wattana immigration office.

Make sure they don't know you're married otherwise they might insist you provide the paperwork for the 60 day extension.

Just got back from Chaeng Wattana. Building B1. Everything as ubonjoe said.

Filled in TM7 form with photo and relevant pages of passport copied. Got queue number at 1445 (89th in queue). Sat and waited near desk 37 until about 1715 when my number was called. Told to wait at counter 39 where i then sat until 1830 for my application to be processed and to pay the 1900 baht. Passport handed back about 1845 with 7 extra days as requested.

Boring but fairly painless.

Thanks Ubonjoe.
