Star English football striker Jamie Vardy has said that Thai rocker Toon "Bodyslam"'s charity run from the south to the north of Thailand has brought happiness to the people of Thailand.

In a recorded message the player from Thai owned Leicester City heaped praise on Toon who has now reached Bangkok on his marathon run to raise money for 11 hospitals.

"Your actions create inspiration, motivation and hope," said the England striker who had a stellar season when the King Power owned team won the English Premier League in 2015-16.

"The most important thing is that you are giving happiness to the people of Thailand.

"We wish him every success in his mission".

Duty free giant King Power have donated 64 million baht to Toon's fund, reported Thai Rath.

What's this ... trying to make amends for his fellow Leicester players escapades while in Thailand a few seasons back (they bought "happiness to the people of Thailand" ... NOT) or just being cajoled into making his comments by his King Power bosses?
